Founded by Dr. Govind Khandelwal, a pioneer in radiology, the center has consistently set new benchmarks in medical imaging. From introducing Akola’s first MRI in 2006 to installing South East Asia’s most advanced 3T MRI system, we remain committed to bringing the latest technology to our community. Dr. Govind Khandelwal

Dr. Govind Khandelwal began his medical journey at Sion Hospital, Mumbai, in 1992. Over the years, he gained extensive experience by working at several prestigious institutions across Mumbai, before returning to Akola to establish his own radiology practice. Starting with ultrasound, X-ray, and CT scan services, he made a landmark contribution to regional healthcare by introducing Akola’s first MRI in 2006 with a 0.5T open MRI system. Since then, the center has seen continuous upgrades—bringing in Digital X-rays, Advanced Ultrasound, a 50-Slice CT Scanner, a 1.5T MRI, and now, South East Asia’s first Advanced 3T MRI. This milestone brings us a step closer to our mission: delivering world-class radiology services to the people of Akola.
